
Meet Altie
Altie Holcomb was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 20, 1971. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. During his 20 years of active military service, he deployed to the Persian Gulf War in August 1990 and to the Iraq War in 2003 and 2008.
Altie retired from the Marine Corps in 2009 and served as a Senior Marine Corps Junior ROTC teacher. He attends New Day Christian Fellowship and is a Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Altie is also a board member of the Military Officers Association of America, a board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Inland Valley (Menifee and Perris), and a former chair of the Menifee Parks, Recreation and Trails Commission.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from San Diego State University and a Master’s degree from Wayland Baptist University. He is married to Tracey and has three children, two of whom are serving in the U.S. Navy, and three stepchildren. Together, he and his wife have 15 grandchildren.
Altie currently serves as the Senior District Representative for a California State Senator where he handles veterans, public safety, judicial and environmental issues. In his spare time, he enjoys physical fitness, spending time with family and friends, and helping others.
